Curl Moncton is happy to announce that for a 2nd year an 8 Team Ladies division at the MOLSON CANADIAN HUB CITY SHOOTOUT.

 

Tentative Details for the Ladies division current being planned are:

 

·          8 Teams

·          2 Divisions of 4 teams

·          3 Game Round Robin inside division plus 2 cross over game (5 guaranteed games)

·          Pay per win format with emphasis for prize money being on pay per wins in lieu of smaller field of teams

·          2 teams qualify for Finals

·          1st draw for the Ladies is estimated to be 5PM Friday December 9, 2011 (Draw will be announced pending finalization of field and the completion of the Men’s Draw Schedule in November)

·          5th and final preliminary game will be Sunday morning (Final Schedule not yet determined)

·          Games will be played at both the Beaver Curling Club and Curling Beauséjour

·          All playoff games will be played at Curling Beauséjour

·          Finals are tentatively planned for Sunday afternoon.

·          Entry fee $500

·          Host Hotel is Amsterdam Inns at $89 per night (information on booking reservations is also available on the event website)

 

Hammer for all qualification games will be decided by a draw to the button.  One player for each team will deliver this stone and each team will be permitted to have that player deliver one practice stone to the away end.  The players will then deliver the actual draw to the button for hammer to the home end.  Closest to the pin by tape measure (if necessary) will be awarded the choice of hammer. The choice of color will be determined by a coin toss prior to the practice and draw to the button. Winner of the toss will choose color and practice first.

 

Prize money is subject to change pending finalization of event sponsorship but it will be guaranteed to be at least equal to all entry fees collected. (Pending finalization of sponsorship, the purse should exceed the total entries fees collected)

 

PLEASE ALSO NOTE:

 

1.     4 Rock Rule in effect for all games.

2.     All games will be 8 ends including playoffs.

3.     Entry form and post dated cheque (Oct. 31, 2011) must be received by Oct. 15, 2011 to reserve a spot in the event.
